This Privacy Policy explains and governs the collection, use, and disclosure of peronsally and non-personally identifiable information by TaskBump. Capitalized terms not defined here are defined within our Terms of Use.

TaskBump does not and will not share information with any party except as described by this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection & Use

TaskBump collects information in order to provide & maintain the functionality of the Service, analyze how the Service is used, diagnose & solve technical issues, and maintain the security of the Service.

When you create an Account in order to become a user of our Service, we collect personally identifiable information. This information includes, but is not limited to, your email address and name. We use your email address to send account update confirmations, security notices, policy updates, service outage & other critical updates, and notifications triggered by other users. We may also send emails with information on new features or functionality, solicitations for feedback, and special announcements.

We may ask for additional personal information when activating other functionality of Service. Your information may be provided to third parties in order to provide this additional functionality.

Log files are kept by our servers for activity resulting from use of the Service. Entries in these log files may contain your userid, username, first and/or last name, and/or email address. Some types of transactions are also logged to a database and may also contain or be linked to your personally identifiable information.

TaskBump tracks actions conducted within a web page, including but not limited to, elements clicked and/or hovered, text entered, usage of key shortcuts, links clicked, and pages/URLs visited. This information may be sent, in some cases with personally identifiable information, to third party analytics services.

TaskBump also collects & sends information about your browser, computer & network connection, including but not limited to, browser type & version, operating system type & version, viewport & screen dimensions, language preference, referring site, date & time of each request, and internet protocol (IP) address. This data is also sent to third party analytics services, in some cases with personally identifiable information.

We make use of cookies in order to maintain sessions for visitors & logged in users. The TaskBump application also uses HTML5 local storage to store settings and information, including personally identifiable information.

The Content you add may be monitored, but we are under no obligation to do so. The Content added by you may be viewed in accordance with your settings & the settings for the particular project to which the Content is assigned. Old versions & history of different types of Content may be maintained in our database, even if the content is not directly accessible by users via the Service. Such versions & history may be made accessible in the future at any time to users that have permissions to view the current versions of the Content.

The Serivce automatically saves drafts of some Content to our servers as it is created, without user intervention. This functionality cannot be disabled.

TaskBump maintains backups of the data stored in its databases. These backups may contain information that has been changed or removed from the live version of the Service.

We may include web beacons in email messages & web pages for the purpose of tracking usage & which emails are opened by recipients. Web beacons may also be included in email messages sent by third party mail providers that TaskBump utilizes to manage communications with its community & user base.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

Except as permitted by this Privacy Policy, we do not and will not share, sell, or disclose your personal information without first receiving your permission.

Your personal information will be displayed on your profile & elsewhere on the site. Your email address will not be displayed on your profile.

Your full name and/or user ID may be displayed on the website to any other user, including users that are not associated to you.

Your email address may be displayed on pages that display incoming or outgoing emails, if your email address was included in the email headers or body.

TaskBump reserves the right to disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpeona or if we feel it necessary to comply with a court order, regulation, law, or legal request. We may disclose your personal information to protect safey of any person, to address fraud, security, or technical issues, or to protect TaskBump's rights or property.

Third Party Services

TaskBump uses third party services for analytics, applications to the beta program, email list management, feedback & support, user avatars & thumbnail pictures, and bug & error tracking. Your personally identifiable information, such as, but not limited to, your email address, name, user id, and IP address may be provided to these services. Many of these tools also collect information sent by your browser as part of your web page request.

TaskBump is not responsible for the security & privacy practices of other sites.

The use of this information by these third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Feedback Site & Widget

Support requests, questions, bug reports, and other feedback can be submitted via our feedback widget or our feedback site. Our feedback & support functionality is provided in part by a third party.

We reserve the right to publish support requests, absent of personally identifiable information, to help clarify, respond, or help other users.

Feature suggestions submitted via the feedback widget or website are publicly viewable. Your name will be displayed on publicly on any suggestions or comments that you leave on suggestions. In addition, a profile picture from Gravatar may be shown next to your comments & suggestions.

Third Party Cookies

Some third party services used by TaskBump that are accessed via the TaskBump application may use their own browser cookies. The use of cookies by third parties is not covered by our privacy policy. TaskBump has no access or control over these cookies.

Storage of Information

TaskBump uses third party vendors and hosting services to provide the necessary hardware, software, storage, networking, and related technology required to run the Service. Your personal information as well as Content created by you and other users is stored on and processed by this technology.

Security

When you access the website through a web browser, your information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL/TLS). All HTTP connections to TaskBump require an encrypted connection using SSL.

In the event personal information is compromised as the result of a breach of security, and TaskBump is aware of such breach, TaskBump will notify the owners of the accounts whose personal information was compromised.

International Transfer

TaskBump stores & processes information in the Unites States. By using the Service, information may be transfered to and maintained on systems located outside of your state, province, or other governmental jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United Staes and choose provide information, TaskBump transfers personally identifiable information to the United States. Your consent to this policy & the submission of information by means of the Service represents agreement to that transfer.

TaskBump contains links to third party sites. These links may be provided by TaskBump itself, or may originate from Content created by users. TaskBump is not responsible for the security & privacy practices of other sites. The policies of these other will be different from ours, and we recommend that you read and be familiar with their policies.

Customer Testimonials

We may post Testimonials on our website from customers. These testimonicals may contain personally identifiable information. We will obtain permission by email or other means before including names with these testimonials.

Children's Privacy

The TaskBump Service is not directed at persons under the age of 13. We do not, to the best of our knowledge, collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that child under 13 has provided personally information to us, we will remove this information from our files. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that personal information has been submitted to our Service, please contact us at privacy@taskbump.com.

Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective on the date posted.
